A limited number of these prints are available! The French mathematician Lazare Carnot proposed in his 1803 paper Fundamental Principles of Equilibrium and Movement that in any machine the accelerations and shocks of the moving parts represent losses of moment of activity. In other words, in any natural process there exists an inherent tendency towards the dissipation of useful energy. Here, Entropy represents the energy needed to stay moving, learning and growing in order to stay alive. These prints come from an original 2016 painting by Jason Wilson. Paper prints are offered on 150 lbs watercolor with 100-year archival grade pigment. Canvas prints are carefully color-matched and archival for 125 years. All prints are numbered and signed by the artist.
